Program and Project Management

We take ideas to action by driving your high-priority projects to successful completion. We can assist with designing, managing and implementing programs for diverse clients with whom we work to map, make, manage, and measure change.

Projects have included:

  • Assisting the United Way of the National Capital Area in launching MENTOR Greater Washington, the first local affiliate of MENTOR, the national mentoring partnership in Washington, D.C. The project is a collaboration between the United Way of the National Capital Area, Deloitte, and 25 local mentoring organizations to enhance the quantity and quality of mentoring relationships for young people in the National Capital Area and to ensure every young person in the Washington, DC metropolitan area has the supportive relationships they need to grow and develop into thriving, productive, and engaged adults. Services included program management, recruiting mentors, securing trainers, building relationships with potential partners and volunteers, and event planning.

  • Supporting strategic planning efforts, building grantee relationships, refining investment priorities, and allocating $100,000 in grants to support anti-oppression efforts including racial and ethnic justice, safe and affordable housing, immigration, and environmental justice efforts for All Souls Church Unitarian's Beckner Advancement Fund.

Interactive and Creative Facilitation

We partner with organizations to create half-day, full-day or multi-day sessions that help clarify and refine their vision, surface areas of synergy, opportunities for collaboration and impact, and ways to prioritize strategic action.

Recent projects have included:

  • Facilitating a staff session to support the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation in identifying their collective values and actionable steps they could take to make their grant process more equitable.

  • Facilitating a one-day, 30-person virtual session on racial and ethnic data equity to better track and study racism for the Boston University Center for Antiracist research.

Research, Data Analysis, and Reporting

We conduct research and assist with collecting, monitoring, and reporting program data to help assess the effectiveness and impact of programming to drive continuous improvement. We conduct qualitative research (e.g. surveys, focus groups, and/or key informant interviews), conduct literature reviews and develop written materials including presentations, one-page summaries, briefs, reports, infographics and other documents for a wide variety of non-technical audiences explaining research findings and recommendations clearly and concisely with a focus on motivating these stakeholders towards taking desired actions.

Projects have included:

  • Conducting key informant interviews, research, and investigating logistical barriers and grassroots opposition to collecting and reporting race and ethnicity data across the health system for a project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

  • Evaluating the effectiveness and impact of a board and leadership succession planning curriculum for a local community foundation in collaboration with BoardSource.
