Program and Project Management

We take ideas to action by driving your high-priority projects to successful completion. We can assist with designing, managing and implementing programs for diverse clients with whom we work to map, make, manage, and measure change.

Projects have included:

Assisting the United Way of the National Capital Area in launching MENTOR Greater Washington, the first local affiliate of MENTOR, the national mentoring partnership in Washington, D.C. The project is a collaboration between the United Way of the National Capital Area, Deloitte, and 25 local mentoring organizations to enhance the quantity and quality of mentoring relationships for young people in the National Capital Area and to ensure every young person in the Washington, DC metropolitan area has the supportive relationships they need to grow and develop into thriving, productive, and engaged adults. Services included program management, recruiting mentors, securing trainers, building relationships with potential partners and volunteers, and event planning.

Philanthropic Support and Storytelling

We partner with philanthropic entities to develop systems and processes that support equitable and effective investments in their communities. We also assist nonprofits in telling asset-based impact stories to funders and community stakeholders through newsletters, end of year reports, infographics and presentations.

Projects have included:

  • Supporting strategic planning efforts, building grantee relationships, refining investment priorities, and allocating $100,000 in grants to support anti-oppression efforts including racial and ethnic justice, safe and affordable housing, immigration, and environmental justice efforts for All Souls Church Unitarian's Beckner Advancement Fund.

  • Developing grant reports and interactive presentations for the National Collaborative for Health Equity's health equity work with the Robert Wood Johnson and W.K. Kellogg Foundations.

Data Analysis and Reporting

We aide in collecting, monitoring, and reporting program data to help assess the effectiveness and impact of programming to drive continuous improvement. We conduct qualitative research (e.g. surveys, focus groups, and/or key informant interviews), conduct literature reviews and develop written materials including presentations, one-page summaries, briefs, reports, infographics and other documents for a wide variety of non-technical audiences explaining research findings and recommendations clearly and concisely with a focus on motivating these stakeholders towards taking desired actions.

Projects have included:

  • Evaluating the effectiveness and impact of a board and leadership succession planning curriculum for a local community foundation in collaboration with BoardSource.

  • Creating evaluation reports, presentations, and infographics for the United Negro College Fund's Koch Scholars Program, Morgan State University, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in collaboration with Whitworth Kee Consulting.

  • Conducting key informant interviews for the Health Equity and Opportunity (HOPE) measures project in collaboration with the National Collaborative for Health Equity.
